Transcend Psychotherapy provides knowledgeable, compassionate and integrative psychotherapy services to ALL people with a particular focus on working with transgender and queer-identified members of our community.

We have multiple providers with a wide range of experience and training in different areas of expertise. Our group includes providers that work with individual children, adolescents and adults as well as various forms of relational therapy.

We offer an ever expanding lens to all gender identities and expressions. We support people from the stage of questioning their gender identities through whatever components of the transition process feel authentic. This includes support in the form of gender affirmation surgery letters and fierce advocacy whenever needed when working with medical professionals in the community.

Many people and communities can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Sometimes these circumstances are a result of a single traumatic event while sometimes they are a result of trauma caused by various forms of systemic oppression experienced by members of marginalized communities. Anxiety, fear, isolation and hopelessness are a few of the emotions that can be experienced post traumatic events. We are here to help guide you through the process of healing from all forms of trauma.

People can experience addictions in many forms. Addiction to alcohol, drugs, food, sex and relationships are among the most common forms of addiction. We acknowledge that addiction levels are higher among marginalized groups as a result of the trauma of systemic oppression. We support people by meeting them where they are in terms of acknowledging their addictions and addressing them.

Relationship therapy can be beneficial to people who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection in all stages of their relationship. We work with all forms of relationships including monogamous, non-monogamous, polyamorous, and open relationships. We are a kink-friendly practice.

Both anxiety and depression are pervasive epidemics in our society. The number of people struggling with anxiety and/or depression in our society has only been exacerbated by the increasing divisiveness in our society, isolation in our culture, and fears and losses experienced throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Just like with the experience of trauma, we also acknowledge that levels of anxiety and depression are higher among marginalized groups as a result of systemic oppression. We offer a variety of different approaches to help increase the capacity to cope with anxiety and depression.
