I believe that engaging in talk therapy can be one of the most courageous steps a person can take in their journey to self-discovery, healing, wellness, and hope. Using humor and empathy, I work to build a strong therapeutic relationship from which to offer validation and support for my clients. My approach to therapy involves using effective therapeutic methods, including individual and collective strategies to effect healing, change, and growth. Operating from a strengths-based perspective, I work with each individual to gain insight into their lives and find the strength and courage to work through life’s challenges and suffering to find healing and live authentic whole-hearted lives.
As a licensed psychologist, I have experience working with adults in individual and group settings, am certified as a DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) clinician, and identify as an LGBTQ provider. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, personality disorders, grief/loss, challenges unique to the LGBTQ community, and adjustments to life stressors.
