About

First and foremost, I believe prioritizing and caring for your mental health is a radical act of self-care and resistance. Personally, I know how hard and scary it can be to decide to seek therapy. I know what it is like to be unsure if you would benefit from therapy while struggling to navigate the everyday challenges of life and thrive as your most authentic self. And I know how it feels to sit on the couch across from a person you don’t know and practice vulnerability in order to live the life you want for yourself. This is some of the hardest and yet most worthwhile work many of us will ever do. Few people, however, are taught the necessary skills for it in childhood, leaving many of us as adults who are not sure where to start.

I identify as a queer, cisgender, able-bodied woman and am a Midwest transplant from New England. I bring a feminist, culturally humble, social constructionist, anti-capitalist, and systemic perspective to my work. As a clinical social worker, I have experience working with adults individually and in groups at several levels of care utilizing various person-centered, evidence-based interventions. I am passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, folks navigating ethical non-monogamy and polyamory, adult children of a parent who has or is currently struggling with addiction, and those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, challenging family relationships, and/or addiction or substance use themselves. Whatever it is you are looking to address, I will meet you where you are at with empathy, humor, curiosity, and realness to support and empower you, navigate the peaks and the valleys with you, and gently and compassionately challenge you when needed. The process of healing and figuring out life can be hard, but you don’t have to do it alone!
