About
I believe in our capacity to better know and be with ourselves and each other as we grow and heal. I also know this can be a scary and uncomfortable process that requires trust, attunement and solidarity.
As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and board-certified Dance/Movement Therapist, my training and experience integrates body-based, creative arts methods and approaches within the verbal therapeutic process. I practice and build relationships from a holistic, embodied and social-justice framework, acknowledging impacts of intersectional identity and systemic oppression. Informed by a Health At Every Size (HAES) approach, I respect body diversity and body liberation, as well as honoring embodied lived experiences.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, teens and adults - in both individual and group settings – as well as working with a variety of family systems. My experience has focused on the impacts of anxiety, depression, trauma, disordered eating, relationship and life stressors, grief and loss, self-identity exploration, disembodiment, as well as experiences and issues unique to the queer/LGBTQ experience. As a new parent, I especially enjoy supporting parents as they create space for their own developmental journey, including exploring impacts of family/community of origin and leaning into attunement and co-regulation practices.
As a queer-identified, able-bodied, European-descendant, I remain committed to an ongoing journey of unlearning and dismantling patterns of white supremacy and building collective anti-racist community. I’m passionate about inviting others into their innate wholeness and resilience, alongside healthy doses of humor and irreverence.
